- Proven experience leading complex, business‑critical growth or transformation programmes, not just technology delivery
- Strong commercial and strategic judgement, with the ability to shape ambiguous problems and turn them into executable programmes
- Experience within a retail environment is essential, with strong online digital and ecommerce experience
- Exposure to B2B, logistics, supply chain and fulfilment environments, and how these enable scalable growth
- Understanding of assortment, ranging and category‑led change, and the commercial implications of range expansion or partner‑led models
- Strong digital and technology fluency, with the ability to challenge and govern technology‑enabled change without being a technical specialist
- Building, leading and motivating teams and has experience of building sustainable digital and IT delivery capability with appropriate skills and sourcing models.
- Can effectively manage senior stakeholders up to Board level in a large, fast-paced retail business.
- Experience managing delivery in matrixed organisations with shared resources and competing priorities
- Skilled at budget planning & on-going management of financial forecasts
- Familiarity with a range of delivery approaches (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and the judgement to apply them pragmatically
