Got a question?

From the application process to life at Screwfix. Your questions, answered.

Applying

Do I have to apply online?

By applying online, we can get you on board faster and more efficiently. If you have a physical disability that means you can’t complete our process online, pop in to your local Trade Counter to talk to a Branch Manager. They’ll be happy to help you apply via a different route. You can also contact our team on careers@screwfix.com.

I’ve got a learning disability or specific requirement. Can I still apply?

Absolutely. We welcome everyone at Screwfix. If you need any support with your application, please get in touch with the team at careers@screwfix.com and we’ll be more than happy to help.

Can I join via an Apprenticeship?

At the moment, we can only offer Apprenticeships to current colleagues. If you’re interested in this career route, we highly encourage you to apply for a position with us. And if successful, you can discuss options with your manager.

I want to join, but there’s no relevant role for me at the moment.

We understand that everyone’s experience and ambitions are different. If there are currently no jobs that suit you, you can still join our talent pool and create your own profile. That way, when the right role comes along, we’ll get in touch.

I have a criminal conviction; can I still apply?

Please contact our team on careers@screwfix.com with more details and we’ll be happy to help.

Interview

Will you let me know if I get invited to an interview?

Of course! After your application is submitted, we’ll make sure to let you know what will happen next at each stage of the process. If we invite you to an interview, we’ll send you everything you need to know including the time, date, location, job description and name of the interviewing manager. We’ll also call you to have a chat about the opportunity you’ve applied for and answer any of your questions.

Will I get feedback from my interview?

We do our best to give as much objective feedback as possible. Nobody likes waiting; that’s why we make sure that everyone who is interviewed for a position at Screwfix is made aware as soon as possible whether they have been successful or not. We aim to let all applicants know within a week of their interview.

Getting the job

I’ve accepted a verbal offer, but haven’t received my contract?
