• Work with the Internal Communications Manager to execute the day-to-day communications plan, sharing key business and people stories such as growth plan priorities.
• Support the delivery of the long-term internal communications strategy, ensuring all communications align with strategic objectives.
• Take ownership of colleague communications campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring effective delivery across all key channels including the Quarterly Business Updates and sustainability initiatives.
• Lead the creation, development, and maintenance of content across internal communications platforms, including digital tools such as SharePoint, Viva Engage, weekly email newsletters, video content, and printed materials when required.
• Act as a trusted advisor on communications, ensuring alignment with brand tone of voice and cultural values.
• Partner with stakeholders at all levels, including Directors and internal departments—to ensure consistent, clear messaging and branding across all communications.
• Collaborate with key communications contacts across the Customer Service Centre, Trade Counters, and Employer Brand team to ensure alignment and synergy.
• Work with our external agencies to produce materials for campaigns including print, digital and video or use your skills to bring them to life.

• Monitor and report on communications analytics for key campaigns, using insights to identify the most effective formats and channels to drive engagement.
• Proactively suggest improvements to communications strategies and channels based on measured effectiveness and feedback.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in internal communications.
• Ensure all communications are inclusive and accessible, applying an Inclusion lens to every message delivered.

• Background in internal communications, marketing communications, public relations, or digital/print design.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences in an engaging and approachable tone.
• Experience in developing multi-channel communications plans, including setting and measuring KPIs.
• Design or artworking experience (preferably using Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop) – desirable but training can be provided.
• Basic filming and video editing skills – desirable but not essential; training available.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and Viva Engage – desirable; training can be provided.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
• Creative thinker with a flair for generating fresh ideas and visual storytelling.
• Resilient and adaptable, able to respond positively to changing briefs and feedback.
