Digital Trading Manager - App (Remote)
About the job
Key responsibilities
- Lead digital trading strategy and execution for the Screwfix App (UK & ROI)
- Optimise performance across key KPIs: sessions, app revenue, orders, conversion rate, AOV & revenue per user
- Use insight and analytics to spot trends, identify opportunities, and deliver impactful trading plans
- Collaborate across marketing, commercial, supply chain, and CRM to ensure joined-up execution
- Deliver comms via app push and in-app messaging aligned with campaigns and peak trading moments
- Benchmark against competitors and explore market trends to keep our app offer ahead of the curve
- Present clear insights and recommendations based on GA4, ContentSquare, Power BI or other analytics tools
- Own sign-off and execution of digital-first campaign assets, with an eye on brand, compliance, and commercial goals
- Manage and support performance of direct reports, helping them grow and thrive
Required skills & experience
- Proven experience in digital trading, eCommerce, or digital merchandising
- Experience working within a retail environment
- Previous responsibility for trading an app or app-based channel
- Highly analytical and data-savvy – you love turning numbers into actionable insight
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Hands-on experience with tools like GA4, ContentSquare, Power BI, and direct marketing platforms
- Organised, motivated, and confident working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- A passion for digital customer experience and continuous improvement

Interview
Prior to your interview, we recommend a thorough read of our careers page and even a trip to your local Trade Counter, to learn as much about us as possible. Your interview will consist of competency-based questions, and a chat about your experience, knowledge of Screwfix and the role you’ve applied for. Interviews may be held on the phone or over video chat, followed by a visit to store to meet the team.

If we think we’re a good match, we’ll make you an official offer. Once you’ve accepted and we’ve completed the pre-employment checks, you’ll receive your shiny new contract.
