As our Trading Manager, you’ll deliver sales and profit targets for your individual category through the development and implementation of a core trading plan.
Let’s hammer out the detail
You’ll start with the development of a rolling 12-month trading plan that will demonstrate resilience in racing to trading opportunities and any impacts. Working closely with the Category Manager you’ll also help create a category plan that will dovetail into your own. Essentially, you’ll be responsible for identifying and proposing ranges, prices and promotional opportunities that maximise consumer understanding and financial viability, helping suppliers to innovate, building relationships and ensuring we source at the best possible cost. You’ll have your finger on the pulse when it comes to budgeting and forecasting, follow market trends and ensure that you continue to be an expert in your category - able to provide a crucial insight into the changing needs and wants of our Trade customers.

You are…
  • Skilled in retail trading - either as a buyer or similar
  • Clear about developing commercial concepts
  • Customer focused, aware of all sales channels
  • Strategic, understand financial reporting and possess excellent presentation skills
  • A good project manager able to work to deadlines
  • Personable, professional, driven and an outstanding communicator
