Weekend Customer Service Representative - Yeovil

£8.53 per hour + pension + more

Shift pattern

Saturday and Sunday- 12 hours between the hours of 7am and 6pm.

The Customer Service Representative role

Fast paced, high energy and award winning. Taking over 40,000 calls per week we strive to handle all calls at first response - no one likes repeating themselves! We provide a high quality service to our trade and DIY customers who order from our catalogues and website.

Starting in our Training Team you’ll begin to take our general calls. You’ll then go on to provide excellent customer service to all Screwfix Customers. From receiving a call from someone wishing to place an order, to providing additional product information or helping a customer with a Trade Counter query; you’ll ensure outstanding customer service is delivered every time. Your proactive conversations and ‘can do’ attitude will ensure you identify opportunities to drive further sales to work towards meeting team targets.

The skills you need as a Customer Service Representative

You’ll be great at engaging with customers, creating a personal and positive experience through building strong relationships and rapport. Thriving under pressure you’ll possess a good level of resilience – our Contact Centre can get very busy! Good at problem solving and with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, you’ll be comfortable talking to a variety of people with a wide range of requirements and finding the right solutions.

You’ll need a good standard of IT skills, with experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.

Product knowledge is not essential as you’ll receive top notch training, have the support from our wider team, and excellent tools to help you through your day. That said; a passion, interest or experience in DIY would be a great start.
