As our Category Planner, you’ll help plan for our customers’ future needs, as well as react to their current ones, so that they’re confident we always have what they want, when they want it.
Let’s hammer out the detail
By getting to know our customers inside-out, we’re able to use this to our advantage and theirs (not least because they’ve come to rely on us having just what they’re looking for without asking). Working closely with the Category Manager, you’ll help to define your category strategy. You’ll then act as the ‘go-to’ Customer Champion, working across the business to achieve the desired outcome. You’ll keep on top of how the category is performing (by analysing internal and market data), measure success, and help roll-out agreed ranging, pricing and promotional tactics to keep everything on track. You’ll then keep key stakeholders up-to-speed, raising any issues, and work with broader external suppliers when needed.
·An experienced Category Planner who is able to jump straight in
·Highly analytical, able to draw insights from data and use this to help shape strategy
·Understanding of our customers and will use their performance measures (such as penetration, frequency, AOV and so on), to achieve success
·Adept at writing clear briefs, with superb project management, presentation and communication skills
·Confident with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
