*This role is currently based remotely, with the long-term requirement to work flexibly from our Yeovil Head Office when required.

Screwfix are at the cutting edge of performance marketing and you will be reporting to the Senior Web Trading & Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of merchandisers and for the implementation of the Screwfix and Kingfisher group strategy & best practice for onsite optimisation, merchandising and trading in Ireland. You will lead and develop a highly motivated team to deliver continued sales growth, build AOV and to improve conversion.

Using commercial thinking you will implement the onsite merchandising and optimisation, tactically for the short term and strategically for the medium- and long-term strategies, focusing on sales, margins & relevant traffic conversations to ensure we remain ‘Best in Class’.

  • You will successfully own and manage onsite merchandising and optimisation tools, sharing best practice with the web merchandising team.
  • You will Identify opportunities and driving new initiatives for increasing revenue using web analytics tools to improve key performance metrics such as conversion, bounce rate, AOV and page views.
  • As well as manage the quality and consistency of onsite experience and optimisation across the full onsite offer.
  • Working closely with the UK Web Trading team to ensure consistency between and therefore, will need an understanding of the various customers shopping missions, including understanding how devices influence the customer and championing the online customer experience with a view to improving conversion.
  • Review the performance of merchandising and making iterative improvements to maximise sales.
  • Line management within a fast-paced online retail environment.
  • Commercial awareness with a trading focus, operating in a fast-paced online retail environment.
  • A strong user of E-Commerce platforms such as ATG Web Commerce as well as optimisation and implementation tools such as Attraqt, Fredhopper, Bloomreach or similar.
  • You will have previously managed a team and be skilled in communicating ideas and direction effectively, verbally and in-writing.
  • Strong understanding of search engine optimisation and conversion rate optimisation.
